If you have a cockroach problem, keep all food in sealed containers. Don't just use a chip clip to seal your food; you need to use plastic containers with lids. If you have food around, roaches will find it. Keep all foods, including sugar and flour, in containers. Use this technique to trap silverfish. Leave a wet newspaper on your floor or in your tub overnight. You may find that all the silverfish gather on this wet paper by morning. Make sure you quickly grab them before they scatter and transport them into a trash bag outside. Use this trick if you're wanting all the silverfish to get together. Leave out a wet newspaper in your home overnight. Some people have found success with this and all of the silverfish were collected on the wet newspaper overnight. In the morning, be sure to gather them up quickly and place them in a trash bag outdoors. When using any chemicals, especially pesticides, read the manufacturer's instructions closely. Marigolds are a great plant to reduce flying insects. These plants can repel flying insects. There are also many plants that can keep insects away from your home. Citronella and mosquito plants can redirect flying bugs. Pesticides should always be safely used, and weather conditions need to be considered. Follow the directions. Some might require cooler temperatures, low wind or dry conditions to work properly. Do not forget that safety is always the first priority. To get rid of roaches, try using diatomaceous earth.
